To update or change the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar card, you have to do it offline (at Aadhaar Enrollment/Update Center) because OTP verification is required. You cannot update your mobile number online without visiting a center.
📝 Step 1: Book an Appointment (Optional but Recommended)

Visit UIDAI’s official website 👉 https://uidai.gov.in

Go to “My Aadhaar” → “Book Appointment”

Select your city and Aadhaar Seva Kendra, then book a time slot.
📝 Step 2: Visit Aadhaar Enrollment/Update Center

Go to your nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or authorized bank/post office Aadhaar update center.

Carry your original Aadhaar card.
📝 Step 3: Fill the Aadhaar Update Form

In the form, select the option to Update Mobile Number.

Write down your new mobile number.

No proof is required to update mobile number.
📝 Step 4: Biometric Verification

Your fingerprint or iris scan will be taken for verification.
📝 Step 5: Pay the Fee

Pay a fee of ₹50 (fixed charge by UIDAI).
📝 Step 6: Collect Acknowledgment Slip

You will get a URN (Update Request Number) on the receipt.

Use this URN to track your update status online at 👉 https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
⏳ Time Taken

Usually, the new mobile number gets updated in 5–10 working days (sometimes up to 90 days in rare cases).

After update, you can use the new number for OTP-based Aadhaar services (PAN linking, e-KYC, etc.).
